How it Works

HOW IT WORKS

Ironsides APT goes to work after we receive your Job Information File (JIF) file, typically from your composition or transformation system. This JIF file, similar to an electronic job ticket, will contain job ticket information about the number of pages to be printed at individual CF, cut sheet and ink jet devices, per the job ID and unique per piece ID. APT can then track and reconcile each expected piece, and report on any missing or duplicate pieces. As the printed pages move to a finishing device, APT machine vision will read each page ID and track it as it converts into sets or booklets – again, reconciling continuously against the JIF file. Further, as the finished sets are processed through mailing machines, and perhaps matched with other correlated personal or marketing, or TransPromo documents, APT will track, match, manage and reconcile that entire process.

Ironsides APT is unique because we provide a product that works today in your document factory and which can be seamlessly repeated in any additional factory location. Ironsides is built upon three coinciding foundation blocks:

1. Work in Process tracking
2. SLA management and tracking
3. Productivity Management

The system will always provide answers to questions such as:

  • Where is the document?
  • Who is handling it?
  • When and how is it being processed?
  • What is the status, in real time, for each piece?
  • How is this job performing against SLA requirements?
  • Are we providing accurate, robust audits for SOX, HIPAA compliance
