William T Riley, Co-Founder and President
Bill is a 1973 graduate of Boston College, from where he began a 25+ year career with Wallace Computer Services (later to become Moore and RR Donnelley). Bill specialized in high volume transactional printing sales, and he helped to develop and spearhead the Wallace entry to direct and transactional print and mailing products and services. From Wallace, Bill went into technology and software sales management for Inspectron and Formscan. There, he led the domestic and international sales and business devlopment teams, providing print and mail technology solutions to clients world wide. In 2007 Bill co-founded Ironsides Technology to deliver a new and unique print mail productivity software suite, Ironsides APT.
Sean Zhang, Co-Founder and CTO
Sean is very well versed in computer science, software engineering and imaging technology. He worked as an engineer at the Chinese Academy of Science on multiple research projects in Industrial Control, Imaging Technology, and Computer Applications. Sean was the software manager at Inspectron and when Inspectron was purchased by Formscan Plc, Sean became Software Engineering Director. Now, as co-founder and CTO of Ironsides Technology, Sean is leveraging all of his software, computer science and image processing experience. Sean has a BSEE from JiaoTong University, Xi’An, a Master of Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, both in China. He received a Master of Computer Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also widely published in Applied Physics”, “IEEE Transaction on Image Processing”, “Pattern Recognition”, etc. He holds patents in machine vision technology.
Robert M Connor, CFO
Bob has over 30 years experience as COO & CFO of electronic and plastic manufacturing companies. He has conducted various mergers, acquisitions and sales of companies and multiple re-financings of company debt. He is presently the CFO of Herley New England (National Defense Industry), Redstone Technologies (Software) and UV Tech Systems Inc. Connor is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College and a master’s degree in business administration. In addition he has his Financial Principal license to be the CFO of a securities firm.
Ken Berquist, Director
Ken has been associated with Ironsides Technology since its inception. His strength lies in the diversity of his experience, coupled with his knowledge of sales, marketing, finance, turn-arounds and mergers. His business experience is varied and encompasses the Internet, industrial, high tech, retail, and medical industries. From North America to Europe and the Pacific Rim, Ken's skill in organizational development, business growth strategy and creative program execution is widely regarded and forms the cornerstone of business success in our complex global economy. Ken started his career as a computer hard disk manufacturing engineer with BASF Corporation. His experience with manufacturing and engineering evolved into executive sales and marketing positions with BASF, Gould, Inc. and Analogic Corporation. Drawing from these and other experiences, Ken founded the North American operations of Wayne Kerr, Ltd. He was one of the five key members of the management team who took the company public. After six years he founded Assemtest, another successful venture which subsequently merged with JMAR following a NASDAQ initial public offering. In the mid 1990's, Ken commercialized a Swedish software prototype for an intensive high speed document imaging system over a three year period. The company, Inspectron Corporation, grew and within three years merged with Formscan, a public British imaging software company. More recently, Ken joined TechTarget, an Internet publishing company, as a member of the start-up management team. His roles were focused in business development and operational management and included the acquisition of thirteen Internet companies, developing and launching TechTarget's email list rental business, e-commerce initiatives and face-to-face conference business. TechTarget became an Inc. 500 company in 2004 and went public in May, 2007 (TTGT – NASDAQ).
